The only thing that has truly been confirmed to be canon at the end of Vampire Savior is that Morrigan and Lilith fused with each other, it hasn't been confirmed who won the match but only that they merged back into one. Some of the endings are only "What If" scenarios rather than true endings that are official parts of the story while others currently remain unknown.Even the elusive Dee, upon release, used distinct artwork for character and victory portraits. In home releases, it is evident Pyron and Donovan's character and victory portraits came from a single artwork source, whereas other characters (particularly, Huitzil, who remained in development and had artworks allocated until being excised in the arcade build) used unique artworks for each.Unlike the first two games, Darkstalkers: The Night Warriors and Night Warriors: Darkstalkers' Revenge, which displayed the names of the winning fighters onscreen at the end of a match, Vampire Savior reverted to the more traditional "You Win" and "You Lose" messages that are used in the Street Fighter series.
